QUARTETTO NOÜS
The Noûs Quartet, founded in 2011, has quickly gained a prominent position in the contemporary music scene. The group, formed by talented musicians, has developed an engaging repertoire that blends Italian tradition with European influences. Their training includes experiences at prestigious institutions such as the "Walter Stauffer" Academy in Cremona and the Musik Akademie in Basel.
Their excellent performances have earned them numerous awards and scholarships, such as the "Piero Farulli" Prize in 2015 and the "Arthur Rubinstein – A Life in Music" Award from the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. Their mature and reflective interpretation of both classical and contemporary repertoire has distinguished them in the Italian chamber music scene.
In addition to their versatility in the quartet repertoire, the Noûs Quartet stands out for its interpretative originality, embracing innovative performances such as playing from memory and in the dark. They actively collaborate with contemporary composers and participate in multidisciplinary projects with theater and dance companies.
The quartet has performed in prestigious halls and festivals in Italy and abroad, receiving invitations from countries including Germany, Switzerland, France, the United States, and China. Their performances have been broadcast by renowned radio stations, and they have collaborated with prominent record labels, releasing works by composers such as Puccini, Boccherini, Verdi, Respighi, and Silvia Colasanti.
In 2021, the Noûs Quartet began recording the complete string quartets of Shostakovich for Brilliant Classics, further confirming their commitment to exploring and spreading a wide range of musical repertoire.
