Il Salotto di Cristina
Tuesday, September 15th, from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm – Piazza Belgiojoso, Milan
Five years after the inauguration of Milan’s first monument dedicated to a historical female figure, Fondazione Brivio Sforza and Le Dimore del Quartetto invite the public to Il Salotto di Cristina, an evening dedicated to memory, music and dialogue.
In the heart of Piazza Belgiojoso, the statue of Cristina Trivulzio di Belgiojoso becomes the starting point for a public gathering that intertwines conversations, testimonies and music, offering an opportunity to rediscover the legacy of an extraordinary woman: a patriot, journalist, entrepreneur, patron of the arts and a leading figure in 19th-century European cultural life.
The evening will be hosted by journalist and screenwriter Francesca Priori and will open with remarks by Alessandro Brivio Sforza, President of Fondazione Brivio Sforza, and Francesca Moncada di Paternò, Founder and President of Le Dimore del Quartetto.
One of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of the Radio 24 podcast “Mi chiamo Cristina”. Rossana De Michele (director, producer, author, and television and radio executive) will share the research process behind the project, while the young Emma Galeotti (actress and content creator) will bring Cristina’s words to life through a live reading, allowing the audience to experience the voice, ideas and strength of a leading figure of the Italian Risorgimento.
The conversations will explore some of the fields in which Cristina Trivulzio di Belgiojoso was ahead of her time, from communication and education to financial awareness and community support.

The programme will bring together contemporary compositions by young female composers dedicated to Cristina Trivulzio di Belgiojoso with works from the Romantic repertoire, creating a bridge between the great women of the past and new generations of female artists.
